This project aims to raise the levels of qualification and competence of aquaculture professionals and mentors in the sector, with special reference to shellfish farming, through an innovative training model developed in e-learning and led by mentors able to follow students digitally using the platform produced by the project.
Welcome to OPTIMA Training Platform!
OPTIMA (Good Practices in Molluscs Aquaculture) is a project funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme. This project aims to raise the levels of qualification and competence of aquaculture professionals and mentors in the sector, with special reference to shellfish farming, through an innovative training model developed in e-learning and led by mentors able to follow students digitally using the platform produced by the project. OPTIMA project developed two courses, one for Mentors and one for Workers, in English, Italian, Spanish, Gaelic, French and Greek.
Both courses are available for free upon a simple registration on the learning platform.
Mentor's Course
This program will equip mentors with digital tutoring skills for effective online communication and information exchange. Key topics include:

- Using Zoom, Meet, and Teams for virtual classrooms.
- Online Training
- Conducting courses efficiently in virtual settings.
- Data Sharing
- Utilizing G-Drives and M-Teams for resource sharing.
- Organization
- Managing schedules with Google Calendar and Doodle.
- Document Exchange
- Sharing materials via WeTransfer for seamless collaboration.
Worker's Course

The self-assessment instruments consist of multiple-choice tests. These will help you consolidate your newly obtained knowledge and feel more confident about your skills.
Yes! Both courses are available for free (you only need to register on the platform) and available without any restrictions.
Because the courses are online and self paced, you can follow them at your own time schedule and convenience.
